聯邦最高法院26日以5比4做出裁決，認為加州各地的「危機妊娠中心」(crisis pregnancy centers)在規勸孕婦繼續懷孕的同時，需根據州法告訴孕婦哪些中心提供州府資助的墮胎服務，可能違反憲法第一修正案，認為反對墮胎中心沒有必要告訴孕婦這些資訊。

●妊娠中心：州法違背中心使命
但危機妊娠中心認為，中心的使命是鼓勵孕婦繼續而不是終止懷孕，加州的法律是強迫他們發出違背自己使命的通知，違反了中心的憲法權利。
加州的法律規定，危機妊娠中心要把提供的部分醫療服務告知孕婦，包括超聲波檢查和墮胎等。此外，中心還必須貼出州政府的告孕婦書，說明州政府計畫提供的服務種類，如免費和低成本的全面計畫生育服務(包括FDA批准的避孕措施)、產前檢查和為符合條件的婦女墮胎。欲知自己是否符合標準，孕婦可與各郡的社會服務部門聯繫。

The three judges of Kagan, Kingsbury and Sadoma have the same views as Blair.
The California State Assembly pointed out that some crisis pregnancy centers are tricking pregnant women into believing that the center also provides abortion and contraception services.
●Pregnancy Center: State law violates the central mission
But the Crisis Pregnancy Center believes that the mission of the Center is to encourage pregnant women to continue rather than terminate their pregnancy. California's law is to force them to issue notices that violate their mission, in violation of the Center's constitutional rights.
